FAQ- Sketch.jpg

Can I bring a friend?

Most artists prefer to work one on one with customers, but we can accommodate up to one guest. We ask that they are quiet and respectful of the concentration that is required by both the artist and the client.

How old do I have to be?

New York City law states that you must be 18 years of age or older, with a government issued photo I.D. such as a driver’s license or passport, to get tattooed. There are no exceptions, even with parental consent.

How much does a tattoo cost?

The cost of a tattoo is determined by the tattoo artist based on the design, size, and location. The shop minimum is $100.

What type of payment do you take for tattooing?

We only accept cash for tattooing. A tattoo assistant or your tattoo artist will discuss price with you before you get tattooed. Please be prepared to pay your artist directly after your appointment. A NYC service tax of 4.5% will also be collected.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

It is important to get a good night's rest before your appointment. Eat a decent meal before your appointment and wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting ink on. We recommend that you DO NOT drink alcohol, take blood thinning medicine (Aspirin), or use numbing cream (Lidocaine) 24 hours before getting tattooed. Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be tattooed at New York Adorned.

Anyone under the age of 18 is not allowed in the shop. Loud noises can distract the artists while working. Please leave the kids at home!
